YVD is a powerful emulator from Xerocreative for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG/OCG Card Game, but due to its lack luster programming propitiatory code, and lack of man power it has not aged well into the fourth generation of the game. With the 9.0 update some years ago the system is barely changed but for some internal URL information to 9.1.

Duel Network the competitor that put the system “out-of-business” is suffering it own problems and with Konami pulling the plug on its Online system in the coming months a new competitor has finally shown its head, YGOPro. The system is from Chinese developers and is translated by a programmer to english by the name of Percival18. Since then the ever dead KCVDS programmers have [poorly] created a over system and granted the system network access to its serves allowing large scale play.

The system features a number of what I can only describe as graphical atrocioucities and being opensource I have the free right to edit mod or generally correct those errors. So I will be moving away from the YVD Graphical support market to make Backgrounds and card covers and see if I can do anything to fix a number of interface issues with the system.

The system shows extremely strong power but just needs some gloss and programming stability. Stability will come, and so will more cards just due to its opensource status, but I’ll personally be trying to add in that gloss. Look for my art here under Portfolio –> YGOPro Backgrounds.
